Jacob (Jake) W. Fendley, the father of four, began working for Rudolph, Ross and Fendley, Attorneys in 2003, at the age of 18. Jake started at the bottom of a law firm as a legal runner, then as a paralegal, then as a law clerk, graduating from law school in 2011. Today, he is a partner and founding member of Fendley & Etson. Throughout his career, he has worked on a wide range of legal matters including civil, criminal, and family law cases. His involvement has been essential and has allowed him to experience firsthand and participate in the litigation process from all angles. His experience and study of the law have been hands-on.
He attended Law School at the Nashville School of Law with his sister and now partner Elizabeth Fendley. They were the first siblings to graduate simultaneously from the Nashville School of Law and did so as graduates of the school’s 100th class. They sat for the Bar exam in 2012 and both passed on their first attempt.
The vast majority of young attorneys graduate law school without knowing how or what to expect in a courtroom. Jake was able to hit the ground running as a young attorney due to having over 10 years of experience working at his Father’s side. He values and enjoys a good reputation as an ethical and well-prepared attorney and is well-respected throughout the legal community in Clarksville, Tennessee.
